We’re Not Simple Enough August 27, 2010

Aah the complexity of humans.
When emotions clouds your thoughts. When your thoughts blocks all emotions. Or when those two coexist.
Nothing good ever comes out of them.

When things don’t go our way, we think the world is against us.
When someone criticises you, you think that person doesn’t like you.
When someone’s comments are not to your liking, you don’t like them.
When you don’t like someone, everything they do is wrong.
When you don’t understand the other person, you think they’re incoherent.
We assume and judge. The best part is we always think we are right.
We whine and complain. Thinking that that solves everything.
We comment and criticize. Without thinking about it first.
And I really hate it when people only listen to what they want to listen and not to what they should.

Did you know that what we think is right is not always right?
I like the “We whine and complain. Thinking that that solves everything” line the most cause that is what I mostly do. Very hard to change.
This reminds me of what Suet Li said in her latest post too.
“..there’s a tiny something that has no right or wrong. You just have to justify it to yourself and if it seems right to you, then that’s all that matters.”
You two have been pretty philosophical lately with your posts. Makes one think.
